Medical emergency services are provided by Air Ambulance Services. These missions are life and time critical. The present decisions in such life saving missions in a time constrained environment is crew experience based; hence prone to operator error. An automated decision supporting tool is required to identify the ‘required mission capabilities’ for the evaluation of mission success. This paper presents a methodology to achieve “defined mission capabilities” from mission inputs. The factors that will be considered are operational needs, environmental constraints, operator threshold and technology threshold. The factors of operational needs and environmental constraints will be integrated on a common platform to retrieve mission systems.
