- A method is presented to design the cooling system of an automobile. At first each individual component is characterized separately. This description is supported by experimental data. Then the interaction of all components is considered by computation. A parameter study is carried out showing the way to a low cost design. Finally, a criterion is deduced by which different matrix designs can be rated quickly.
