- This paper presents the design and analysis of a low-profile monopole antenna with a Multiple-Input-Multiple Output (MIMO) configuration, optimized for requirements of modern wireless communication systems. The proposed antenna consists of staircase-like rectangular patches with a stub to enhance bandwidth. Printed on Rogers RT Duroid 5880 substrate, the antenna covers a compact size of 96 x 96 mm2, making it suitable for integration into space-constrained devices. Operating within the frequency range of 2.13-4.2 GHz, the proposed antenna achieves an Envelope Coefficient Correlation (ECC) below 0.015, Mean Effective Gain (MEG) of less than -3 dB, Diversity Gain upto 10 dB, and Channel Capacity Loss (CCL) below 0.12 bps/Hz, thus making antenna suitable for LTE-A and 5G-IoT communications.
