A Model of Gas Exchange in a Closed Plant Growth Chamber

Photosynthetic use of CO₂ by wheat and rice crops were modeled over entire crop cycles. To compare CO₂ use under different environments, the flux of CO₂ and the rate of plant development were normalized. This normalization procedure yielded models which suggest that development of a generalized model may be possible.
