Several approach have been used to design Mando MGH ABS hydraulic system. Each component is analyzed with parameter study and finally made to a customized model that reflect the real components. Parameters selected are applied to design of series production ABS(MGH-20). This process has been used to the components of solenoid valves, pump, motor, inflow conduit, hydraulic chamber and fluid property throughout system operating range. This allows the function of complex hydraulic system to be estimated at limiting conditions such as low temperature, low voltage and mixed conditions as well as at normal conditions. This paper presents a model-based component design analysis by comparing with test data and a parameter study of hydraulic braking system for optimal pressure generation. New generation ABS, ESP, EHB hydraulic braking system of MANDO are investigated more accurately and easily with combination of proven component model early in the design engineering process. This approach is of great use to take account of systematic analysis of hydraulic braking system at all operating conditions, to pre-estimate the system in combination of components with different characteristics and to focus on the way of improvements in required function. In addition, the design analysis can be readily performed just connecting the accumulated component model and product reliability can be secured from the beginning
