A Method to Estimate H2 in Engine Exhaust and Factors that Affect NOx and Particulate in Diesel Engine Exhaust

This paper consists of two parts. The first part, the author develops a method to estimate the Hydrogen (H₂) generated from the combustion of the fuel. The second part deals with the cause and effect of the existence of the pollutants NO_x and particulate in the exhaust of a diesel engine. The concept of throttling in the injection nozzle is introduced to explain the results obtained in the combustion chamber of the diesel engine.
