Authors Abstract
Content
NASA's Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, OH utilizes a broadband LAN for a wide variety of office, engineering, and research purposes. Increasing use of the facility led to capacity and throughput concerns, focused on the terminal support channels. Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. AR developed PC software to monitor errors and utilization. The software presents real-time performance graphs, issues alerts for error conditions and logs performance data for analysis.
The paper explores both the reasoning behind developing the monitor program and the results of a year's operation.
