This panel will focus to provide a comprehensive understanding of what is the current status in standards/regulation field and potential issues that need to be addressed. Panelists will discuss the different standards/policy activities (SAE, IEEE, ISO, VMAD) under development both in US and globally. In depth details in the areas that need standardization will be discussed; for example; terms and definitions, testing methods & associated tools/platforms, method to determine AD safety (safety measure), etc. Discussion will provide insight into areas that need synergies across the world and the ones that need to be unique and how to best do it. For example test methods might be similar globally but the actual scenarios and associated parameters might be different in US vs. EU. vs. Asia.
