China plans to formulate the light-duty vehicle on road energy consumption monitoring standard, which stipulates the fuel consumption (OBFCM), energy consumption (OBECM) and other key data output by traditional fuel vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles through the OBD port, and specifies the accuracy and verification requirements for key data such as fuel consumption. The U.S. OBDII standard specifies the required data for vehicle tracking and recording, and lists it in INFOTYPE 16-29 of SAE J1979DA, but this information is accumulated and/or averaged under all vehicle usage scenarios, so there are no annual fuel consumption and energy consumption calculations, and also no distinctions among specific scenarios such as different ambient temperatures, altitudes, and vehicle speeds, etc. The presenter will provide an overview of China standards for on-board data tracking.
