FSAE steering wheel - part 1- cad construction

This is Part 1 of the steering wheel manufacture series documenting every step from design and construction up the finished part. This video is about the cad construction, starting with a model clay hand print which was digitized with an optical 3d scanner. Then the surfaces were reconstructed for the handles to apply the mountings and to generate an offset. The Body will be made out of an aramid fiber to prevent conduction. The handles will be rapid prototyped.
