Fostering VGI-Capable Residential EVSE Adoption

EVSE offering vehicle-to-grid integration features unlock a variety of benefits for consumers. Although these benefits are often evaluated in terms of the earnings potential that they generate for both customers and utilities, several recent studies indicate that these financial rewards are not typically a key motivator for driving adoption of VGI-capable residential products. This session will explore the value propositions of VGI-capable residential EVSE and present both North American and European data-based insights on their respective appeal (or lack thereof) in relation to various market segments. Strategies to address technical, regulatory, and human challenges currently hindering adoption will also be discussed.
