Scope
This SAE Recommended Practice contains dimensions and their tolerances concerning disc wheel to hub or drum interface areas for commercial vehicles and multipurpose passenger vehicles. Stamped disc wheels for single applications and special or less common applications are not covered in this document.

Issuing Committee
The responsibility of the Truck and Bus Wheel Committee of the Truck and Bus Brake and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Steering Committee is to initiate, develop, review and approve the recommended practices, standards, and information reports related to hubs, wheels and the wheel mounting systems of buses, trucks and tractor-trailer combinations intended for highway use. The Wheel Committee is constituted so as to be aware of other SAE wheel activity and to prevent duplication of effort.
