- Apply the DA objectives to a project
- Interact with other processes of safety assessment and the related DA processes
- Plan integral activities over the development life cycle, coordinate DA aspects with certification authorities, and arrange DA Reviews for the project
- Apply the DA process to reduce the risk of system problems, and cost and schedule impacts
- Recognize how the DA process establishes confidence in a system's performance for certification
- Evaluate DA objectives for completion at the conclusion of a project
