Scope
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) discusses the design choices and engineering trade-offs available to the system designer in the efficient selection and application of Last-Chance filters in contrast to main or primary system filters.
Rationale
This document has been determined to contain basic and stable technology which is not dynamic in nature. No changes to this specification is warrented in the future.

Issuing Committee
A-6C1 Fluids and Contamination Control Committee
A6C1 is responsible for the development of standards, processes, and practices related to Aerospace Fluids and Systems' cleanliness in aerospace engines, hydraulic systems and missiles, and the integration of these components for Commercial and Military air vehicles. The panel provides a forum for government engineers, prime contractors, and suppliers to exchange technical information, regulatory updates, recent technology developments, issues related to system development and in service operation and lessons learned.

* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards
listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A
redline comparison of the current version against a revision is
accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and
then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist
for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning
with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
