Thermodynamic Determination of T.D.C. in Piston Combustion Engines

Abstract
In this paper a method of determination of T.D.C. based on a measured compression pressure vs. crank angle diagram has been presented. It consists in following of changes of the actual values of the polytropic exponents at the inflexion points on compression and expansion lines (with no combustion).
