Abstract
NVH in automobile has been very demanding over the years and is considered to be one of the key focus areas for customer satisfaction identified by the automobile companies.
A lot of work has been done towards optimizing noise treatment materials and its effective placement to suit performance, weight and cost.
This paper outlines a unique method to optimize the coverage of the NCT around the FOD area by conducting an effective sound intensity mapping around the FOD area at the cabin side with the help of a two microphone based sound intensity probe.
