Abstract
In the automobile production line, where many inspections are done visually still now, there is an increasing demand for automated method of inspection. In this paper, I present our study of image processing technology as an automatic inspection method replacing visual inspection, based on the example of our applying the technology to checking defects on the automobile coated surface.
