Much of the latest software is very capable, but learning how to get the best out of it, and getting the business processes right, is the key to success.

Simulation software developers are continually adding features to their products, but it is occasionally good to step back and explore alternative ways to solve problems. Sometimes using tools from different suppliers and improving the data-exchange process is more efficient than trying to stick to a single solution. Sometimes there is more than one way to solve a problem within a given software package. And implementing a new piece of software can provide the impetus to take a close look at internal business processes.
