Software applications are now being developed to make air travel safer and more comfortable for the people in the cabin.

The most-used simulation tools in the aerospace industry are software packages for structural analysis and computational fluid dynamics. These tools allow engineers to predict stresses and loads so that they can make sure the vehicle will perform its design function safely and reliably.

While software companies continue to develop their tools for analyzing aerospace structures and make them more powerful and easier to use, significant effort has been put into new applications to make aircraft-interior designers more productive.
