RULING THE SKIES

Warsaw University of Technology and Georgia Tech dominate SAE Aero Design competitions.

THE AERO DESIGN TEAM from Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) celebrated its 25^th anniversary year by sweeping all three Classes at the 2016 SAE Aero Design West competition, after having won two of three Classes at the 2015 event. Georgia Institute of Technology won two Classes at the 2015 Aero Design East competition, and repeated the feat at the 2016 event.

SAE Aero Design is part of SAE International's Collegiate Design Series and requires participating students to design remote-controlled model airplanes that meet certain design requirements. There are three Classes, each with its unique design requirements and performance measures.
