- As this is predictive maintenance, the design and research were carried out on a single-cylinder crankshaft using SolidWorks and ANSYS. The process involved researching about Jeffcott rotor and other rotating parts. The work involved the design and dynamic forces analysis of a single-cylinder crankshaft. Using different parameters and load conditions effective simulation was carried out. ANSYS simulation software was adopted for computing to obtain required outcomes such as Critical speed, Whirl speed directions, Amplitude Response, Damped frequencies, and Campbell diagram. The analysis was carried out with two different cases where one was a no-load condition or no imbalance. The other case involved 500g imbalance force. The required outcomes were met using Rotordynamic analysis carried out on a single-cylinder crankshaft.
