Aerospace manufacturers make room for robots on the assembly line.
Robots are becoming increasingly important in aerospace manufacturing, factoring heavily in such parameters as precision, tolerance control, quality, and repeatability. Technologies such as vision bring even greater versatility and precision to robots used for material handling, composites application, surface treatment, finishing, and assembly.
The desire for an automation of processes is found equally in both commercial and military sectors. The application of stealth coatings on military aircraft is a labor-intensive job in which it is critical that the coating be applied consistently across the surface.
