PENN STATE TOPS FIELD AT SAE SUPERMILEAGE

IN 2013, A PENN STATE-BEHREND UNIVERSITY team stood as victors at SAE Supermileage. Five years later, a new team was able to strike the same pose at the annual competition held this year on June 7-8.

Said Aleksey Checkeye, a junior mechanical engineering major and the driver of the Penn State vehicle, about the win: “It was such a rewarding feeling. We had been wanting to break 3,000 miles per gallon for a couple years, and it was just great to be able to do it with this group.”
