Mitsui at cutting edge of precision machining

The Japanese company is riding a wave of new-aircraft programs to grow its business at the upper and lower ends of the market.

Only a select few companies occupy the top of the triangle in the hierarchy of machine-tool makers, and Mitsui Seiki has enjoyed the view from the high end of the market for some time.

But there is money to be made at every level of the triangle, including the bottom, and the Japanese company is considering a second home there.
