The International Aerospace Quality Group is a unique vehicle for communicating quality system standards and initiatives through the supply base.
A basic concern with aerospace standards is that while “many are developed, not all are fully implemented,” said Boeing Technical Fellow Gene Barker.
“And that's certainly true of even some standards SAE develops,” he continued. “We send a lot of people off to meetings, we develop really good standards, and sometimes we continue to use our own homegrown version.”
