The 2001 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Stratus offer more power; enhanced NVH characteristics, and improved safety.
When the first-generation Sebring and Stratus vehicles were introduced in 1995, they quickly became known for their innovative cab-forward architecture that created maximum interior space and cargo room in stylish exterior packages. Today, with the introduction of the 2001 models, the vehicles are completely redesigned to offer more power and an enhanced ride in a quiet package.
The 2001 sedans get additional power and efficiency with an all-new aluminum 2.7-L, DOHC, 24-valve, standard multiport injection (SMPI) V6 engine, which delivers 24 kW (32 hp) more power and 30 N·m (22 lb·ft) more torque than its predecessor. It is rated at 149 kW (200 hp) of power at 5900 rpm and 260 N·m (192 lb·ft) of torque at 4300 rpm.
