For more than 100 years, carbon-based fuels such as gasoline and diesel have taken leading roles as the most widespread fuels for mobility applications. However, the finite availability of these resources, CO₂ issues, and emissions regulations have brought about the possibilities of replacing conventional fuels with an alternative fuel such as hydrogen.
