The growing ERJ family

Embraer stakes its claim to the regional jet market with the ERJ-170 and ERJ-190.

Also active in the 70- to 100-seat regional jet market is Embraer. The company is completing development of the ERJ-170 as well as ramping up efforts on the ERJ-190.

Making its first flight in February, the ERJ-170 is expected to receive certification by the end of the year. Embraer plans to deliver its first ERJ-170 to Switzerland's SWISS, formerly Crossair, later this year. The ERJ-170/-190 family registers 112 firm orders and 212 options.
