SAE Collegiate Chapter involvement opens the door to invaluable experiences and beneficial networking opportunities.
FACED WITH A GIGANTIC GLOBAL INDUSTRY and seemingly endless options, students who aspire to influence the future of the automobile are often left searching for the most direct route to a career in the automotive and mobility industries. I have found that the opportunities that SAE Collegiate Chapters provide for learning, networking, and gearhead community bonding can be invaluable, helping to steer us toward careers that fit our dreams and skills.
The SAE Atlanta Section is home to student chapters at Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University (KSU), Georgia Southern, and my home chapter at the University of Georgia (UGA). Section events bring our schools together, allowing us to meet students with similar passions, collaborate on ideas, network with professionals and leaders from around the country, and learn about where the industry is headed. As cofounder of our new chapter at UGA, I am thankful for the guidance, camaraderie, and support I have received from students at our neighboring chapters as well as from industry and SAE leaders.
