A team based in the heart of America's NASCAR country takes on the world of Formula One.

While technophiles may decry the tightened technical and spending restrictions imposed on Formula One (F1) racing for the 2010 season, a benefit of these limitations has been the ability of an American team to enter the fray.

Reckoning that the U.S. motorsports industry in the Charlotte, NC, region-backed by American aerospace industry know-how-should be able to indigenously produce its own F1-spec racer, Californian Ken Anderson recruited Australian-reared English motorsport journalist and former Williams and Ferrari team manager Peter Windsor, with financial and new media support from YouTube founder Chad Hurley, to build such a team.
