The University of Wisconsin-Madison the annual Formula SAE student competition held in Michigan, beating more than 130 other teams aiming to conceive, design, and fabricate the best small formula-style racing car.

The long hours spent readying a racecar for the 2007 Formula SAE (FSAE) static and dynamic events really boiled down to team members having the right attitude about the yearly multiday competition in May.

“Keep it simple. Make it work,” Mike Clark, a mechanical engineer who serves as engine team leader for Iowa State University, said during the design report phase at the 27th annual FSAE on Ford's Michigan Proving Ground in Romeo.
