FCA gets back into the electrification game

Recently while attending Fiat Chrysler's media launch of the 2019 Ram 1500 with the new 48-volt “e-Torque” system, I had the pleasure of spending time with two engineers who personify the get-’er-done attitude that has carried their plucky company through more than its share of challenges in the past decade.

Meeting these guys-1500 program chief Mike Raymond, and vehicle electrification manager Brian Spohn-was inspiring to me and, I believe, to the other technical editors present. Getting to know engineers like Mike and Brian and learning about their work is an ongoing highlight of my job.
