BIKE-INDUSTRY ENGINEERS ARE INTEGRATING ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE QUEST FOR HIGHER PERFORMANCE, MORE FEATURES-AND ZERO EMISSIONS.

ACROSS THE MOTORCYCLE INDUSTRY, electronics have become the technology that defines brands, sells product, and wins races. By-wire throttles, multiplexing, powerful new ECUs, advanced sensors, and clever packaging are enabling bike development teams to deliver the riding dynamics and comfort customers demand, while satisfying tough new global emissions and safety requirements.

Electronic fuel injection is now increasingly common on 250-cm3 and smaller single-cylinder machines. Likewise ABS; reduced system costs have allowed Honda to fit antilock brakes on its 2011 CBR250R, a sporty $4500 commuter machine.
