The development of technology is increasing the introduction of ADAS and autonomous driving technologies for improving the safety of automobiles and supporting drivers. Various components such as camera sensors are being added to the vehicle for the operation of the autonomous driving system, which is making the system complicated. The issue of safety is becoming more important to prevent errors caused by the increase in complexity of the system and accidents that may occur during autonomous driving. The International Organization for Standardization introduced ISO 21448, for increase in the autonomy of the system and to secure the safety of the system's intended design, is being prepared. For the implementation of autonomous driving technology, parts such as camera sensors should be applied to vehicles, and these components need to be applied to ISO 21448 because they should prevent the risk of bad conditions and performance constraints while implementing functions. This article is to apply ISO/PAS 21448 to concept development during the actual development process. In this article we conducted an analysis of each process for application in the concept stage of ISO/PAS 21448. In addition, for the application of the process, we developed a simulation of the image recognition system based on the camera sensor, derived data, and confirmed the effect of the process.
