Chrysler Pacifica

Safety and infotainment features abound in the upscale 2004 sports tourer.

From its inception, the all-new 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, which went on sale this past spring, was designed with safety at the forefront. With an internal code “The Protector” from early development, it should come as no surprise that the vehicle earned five stars-the highest rating-from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on its frontal and side-impact crash tests.

“Going back to our program objectives, one of the main goals was to make the Pacifica one of the safest vehicles on the road,” said Bill Rotramel, the recently appointed Director of Vehicle Development for the Family Vehicle Product Team for DaimlerChrysler Corp. He served as the Senior Program Manager for the Pacifica.
