Back to the future for Ford manufacturing

The Vice President of Vehicle Operations said the company's goal is raw materials to finished goods in one day.

Shamel Rushwin, Vice President of Vehicle Operations at Ford Motor Co., recently was honored with the 2001 Manufacturing Leadership Award. Prior to the award ceremony sponsored by the SAE and ESD Foundations, Rushwin fielded questions from AEI about his company's approach to manufacturing.
