Not tied as much to aluminum as is the West, China and Russia are moving fast toward widespread use of copper and brass for radiators.
A new technology for making heat exchangers is taking root in fast-developing regions of Asia. Maybe someday it will become popular in the United States and Europe.
In a role reversal of global proportions, China and Russia are leading the way in adoption of an advanced automotive technology. Called Cuprobraze, the technology involves the brazing of copper and brass for the manufacture of long-lasting and efficient radiators, charge air coolers, and oil coolers.
