Authors Abstract
Content
After a plane crash, passengers can have different types of injuries and fractures. When an aircraft crashes into water, rescue services must find the airplane quickly because initial survivors later die due to injuries sustained during the accident and the harsh environmental conditions. This article presents the result of the research on safety of air transport over the ocean. The situation of vulnerability in which the survivors find themselves and the special conditions of the environment are explained. The different deficiencies found in air safety in the case of an overwater accident are exposed and possible solutions are presented. A reduction in the response and rescue time is obtained and as a consequence a reduction in fatalities.
