To help shorten development time, contain costs, and satisfy demand for differentiation, Chrysler Group is pushing flexible vehicle architectures that can be shared by many products.
Challenges are aplenty in today's global automotive industry, especially so for product development teams whose job it is to create the technologies and vehicles that meet those challenges and succeed in the marketplace. But after all, that is the fun of this business, said the man who oversees all of those teams, product development strategy, and advance vehicle engineering at the Chrysler Group.
With 10 new products launching this calendar year-the most ever for the Chrysler Group, noted Executive Vice President-Product Development, Frank O. Klegon-a lot of fun is being had these days in Auburn Hills, MI. “To be able to do that is a tribute to all the efficiencies within product development and manufacturing,” he said.
