The past two decades have seen tremendous strides in the application of composites within aerospace engineering.

Both military and civil aircraft have benefited greatly as confidence in alternative materials such as composites has gown-and now the emergence of UAVs is widening their scope still further.

But as the range of applications broadens, there is an increasing need for improvements in manufacturing techniques to drive down costs, attain greater production consistency, and simplify processes.
