Oshkosh Corp. is providing executive leadership for this year's SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress, placing more emphasis on the military and defense businesses, and how those activities align with the commercial vehicle industry.
This will be the seventh year for SAE International's Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress (ComVEC), being held Oct. 5-6 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. But it is the first time that a military and defense OEM has provided executive leadership for the event.
“It boils down to diversity,” said Greg Muha, Manager of SAE International's Commercial Vehicle and Defense Sector. “When we launched ComVEC in 2004, our goal was to have a defense-related company in a leadership role by 2010 to complement the on-road and off-road foundation we already had in place. We're extremely pleased to have a quality company like Oshkosh fill that position.”
