Engineers designing their own motor drives must accomplish many different tasks, from selecting a microcontroller to choosing the right connectors and power supply for mechanical integration. Yet knowing the right questions to ask before beginning a design, and what decisions must be made at each point in the design cycle, is not always self-evident.
