2025 Ram 1500 REV offers class-leading big battery

Stellantis' Ram brand introduced more details about the 2025 Ram 1500 REV electric pickup at the New York International Auto Show and one option is an enormous 229-kWh battery pack with a “targeted” driving range of up to 500 miles (805 km) and a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 lb. (6,350 kg).

That range, which just about doubles the average range of currently offered electric pickup trucks, can be had in the Ram 1500 REV XR. The standard model, which will be on sale first, debuts with a 160-kWh battery and a targeted range of up to 350 miles (563 km). Both can handle 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kWh, meaning an ability to gain 110 miles (177 km) of range in about 10 minutes.
