The quality of vehicle horn sounds research and control

Chinese consumers are very concerned about the quality of vehicle horn sounds, and the quality of vehicle horn sounds is very important in the overall NVH development process. This paper studies the sound quality of vehicle horns based on their working principles and characteristics, combined with the principles of vehicle vibration and noise control. It conducts research on the sound quality of vehicle horns from multiple dimensions, including vibration and noise excitation sources, transmission paths, and evaluation conditions. By analyzing the horn sound quality problems encountered in the development process of a certain domestic new energy vehicle, it proposes corresponding solutions. The results show that in addition to the common NVH phenomena of vehicle horns, the vibration and noise of vehicle horns can cause nonlinear phenomena in adjacent components, thereby producing abnormal noise. This study provides technical reference for nonlinear research and control of vehicle horn sound quality.
