What is SAE AI Chat? 

 

In 2025, the Beta phase for "SAE AI Chat" was launched on Mobilus, which is an intelligent AI feature that allows you to:

  • Ask natural language questions and receive responses (in English language) derived from SAE's 12,000+ "current" standards
  • Save time searching through extensive documents
  • Summarize text and discover connections between different topics or publications

 

What is the current status of SAE AI Chat?

SAE AI Chat was first introduced as a Beta in 2025, allowing users to ask natural language questions and receive responses derived from all 12,000+ current SAE standards available on Mobilus. The Beta was open for a limited period to gather user feedback as we continue to develop the chatbot's capabilities. The Beta phase concluded in March 2026, and the feature is now temporarily offline while we build the next phase.

Why is the AI chatbot temporarily unavailable?

Based on the feedback collected during the Beta, we are developing an expanded version that will require changes to the underlying content scope and platform infrastructure. The feature will remain offline until this work is complete.


What will the next phase include?

While details are still being finalized, the next phase is expected to include:

  • Expanded content coverage - extending beyond current standards to include information related to journals, technical papers, books, and magazines available on Mobilus
  • Broader access - making the feature available to more number of Mobilus users
  • Improved functionality and more relevant results - enhancements to AI-assisted search and content discovery across the platform
