Abstract
Content
Electronic engine control systems have been developed for the John Deere 400 Series 7.6L and 500 Series 10.1L diesel engines. These full-featured, microprocessor based systems provide significant advantages over mechanically controlled engines in on-highway, off-highway and stationary engine applications. Unique controller features include a timed power boost mode, transient smoke control without manifold sensors, switch selectable torque curves and speed regulation, special throttle options, adaptive throttle calibration, temperature compensation and factory “end-of-line” programming.
