SAE International Journal of Commercial Vehicles

Aims & Scope

The mission of the SAE International Journal of Commercial Vehicles to showcase state-of-the-art engineering research by promoting high quality theoretical and applied investigations. The Journal achieves this goal by publishing only those peer-reviewed scientific papers on the design, modeling, controlling, and testing of commercial vehicles which bring strong empirical and theoretical contributions to the current and future body of knowledge.

Topics of interest for the SAE International Journal of Commercial Vehicles include but are not limited to the following topics:

  • vehicle dynamics, green design, modeling, simulation, performance optimization
  • electronic/mechatronic systems, advanced concepts and technologies
  • noise, vibration, harshness, crashworthiness, fatigue/durability, reliability analysis
  • on-road/off-road terrain characterization/modeling, and vehicle-terrain interaction
  • driver assistance and autonomous system; driver vigilance modeling and sensing
  • energy conservation/recovery
