R-1234yf Refrigerant Identifier Installed In Recovery and Recycling Equipment for Use With Mobile A/C Systems

This SAE standard applies to refrigerant identification equipment to be used for identifying an acceptable level of R-1234yf purity in a refrigerant tank or vehicle MAC system labeled as containing R-1234yf, and not misidentify other refrigerants, per 5.7.
This standard was developed to establish requirements for refrigerant identification equipment to be installed on recovery and recycle equipment for use with R-1234yf

Interior Climate Control Service Committee
The Interior Climate Control Service Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports that serve as guidelines for technicians who service mobile air conditioning systems and operate refrigerant recycling equipment as it applies to automobiles, light trucks and other vehicles with similar R12 systems. Participants in the SAE Interior Climate Control Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government, and other interested parties.
