Drivetrain Standards Committee
The Drivetrain Standards Committee reports to the Powertrain Systems Group of the Motor Vehicle Council. The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to drivetrain components and drivetrain systems excluding powerplant and transmission. The committee will direct its attention to passenger cars and trucks and focus on educating and enlightening the technical community about significant aspects of drivetrain components and systems. Participants in the SAE Drivetrain Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government, and other interested parties.
