The recommendations in this SAE Information Report apply to structural integrity, performance, driveability, and serviceability of personally licensed vehicles not exceeding 10 000 lb GVWR. While many of these recommendations may have application to other vehicles, such as those used in paratransit operations, the contents of this document are not directed at these types of vehicles.
Rationale
This technical report is being stabilized because the technical committee has determined that the using community is moving towards newer technology and would like to alert users that this new technology exists, which may want to be considered for new design.
The Adaptive Devices Standards Committee reports to the Vehicle Systems Group of the Motor Vehicle Council. The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to defining minimum acceptable design requirements and performance criteria for adaptive equipment that is used by people with disabilities for their personal transportation. The Wheelchair Hoist Task Force has been developed under the committee's scope. Participants in the SAE Adaptive Devices Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government, and other interested parties.

Wild Cards

Using Quotes
Words in double quotes " " are treated as a phrase. Conducting a search for "heat model" will return all results in which the exact phrase "heat model" is found, while "heat modeling" would NOT be included.
A term combined with a phrase will be joined with an OR operator.
